The fire broke out around 7:30 PM between kilometers 72 and 74 of the AP-4, in a section near the northern access to Jerez (Venta Esteban). The General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) has reported that this incident is causing approximately two kilometers of congestion in the direction of Cádiz.
Currently, traffic heading towards the province of Seville has not been affected. This incident follows a similar one on Tuesday afternoon when a refrigerated truck caught fire at kilometer 74 of the same highway, with the flames spreading to the median vegetation and forcing the road to be closed in both directions for several hours.
