Corrections Policy

1. Our commitment
At La Voz de Andalucía we want the information we publish to be accurate and verifiable. When we detect an error — or when a reader alerts us to one — we correct it as soon as possible and in a transparent way.
2. How to report an error
If you spot a factual inaccuracy, a misattributed quote, an incorrect figure or any other error in one of our articles, please write to:

- The URL of the article
- The specific sentence or data point you consider incorrect
- A source that supports the correction (if available)
3. How we handle corrections
We review every notification we receive. Once we confirm the error:
- Minor corrections (typos, formatting, broken links): we update the text without a visible note.
- Substantive corrections (facts, quotes, figures, misidentifications): we update the content and add a note at the end of the article explaining what was corrected and when.
- Retractions (errors that may have caused harm): we publish the retraction with the same visibility as the original article.
When an article is updated due to new information (rather than a correction), we update the dateModified field and, where appropriate, add an update note.
4. Response times
We commit to responding to notifications within a reasonable time. Obvious corrections are applied immediately; those requiring verification are resolved as quickly as possible, prioritising accuracy over speed.
5. Right of reply
Individuals and organisations who believe that a published article affects them incorrectly or unfairly have the right to request a rectification under Spanish Organic Law 2/1984 on the right of rectification.
