The fire originated around 7:00 PM in a terrain area mixing orchards and stubble, which facilitated its rapid spread towards nearby homes. The alarm raised by the proximity of the flames to the houses prompted the precautionary evacuation of about fifty residences.
Firefighters from the Provincial Fire Department of Granada were dispatched to the scene and began firefighting efforts. Given the magnitude and speed of the fire's spread, additional support was requested, and the Infoca Plan joined the operation with ground resources.
A total of 18 ground personnel from the Infoca Plan, along with a fire engine, joined the Provincial Firefighters' operation. The collaboration between both bodies has been crucial in controlling the spread of the flames, although the fire remains active. Final extinction efforts are ongoing in the area.
