The Cajasol Ángel Ximénez handball team from Puente Genil has announced the signing of Daniel Vieira, a 25-year-old Portuguese right back, as their second reinforcement for the decisive phase of the Asobal league.

The Puente Genil club, in its effort to secure its place in the top division, remains active in the transfer market. Vieira's arrival follows the recent signing of Nori Benhalima, aiming to strengthen the squad under the guidance of coach Toni Malla.
For Daniel Vieira, this marks his first experience in Spanish handball. Despite his youth, the Portuguese player boasts a notable international career, having played for clubs in France, such as Saran Loiret HB, and Iceland, where he spent two years with IBS. In his home country, Portugal, he was part of teams like Artística Avanca, Feirense, and AC Lamego, the club where he completed much of his youth training.
Both new signings are currently awaiting the completion of necessary bureaucratic procedures to make their official debut with Cajasol Ángel Ximénez in the national competition.

"I feel good, I feel motivated and ready for a new stage. I hope it will be an experience that helps me grow as a player and person in a culture different from mine but more similar to my recent experiences. I am happy to be here and I hope to be able to help the team in the best possible way."
