Lora del Río's Plaza de España illuminated at night for the festival honoring the Virgen de Setefilla, with a stage and people enjoying the event.

Lora del Río is preparing to celebrate the feast of its Patron Saint, the Virgen de Setefilla, with a festival taking place on September 4th and 5th in the Plaza de España.

The mayor of Lora del Río, Antonio Enamorado, and the delegate councilor for Major Festivals, María José Moreno, have presented the festival's program. For two nights, the Plaza de España will serve as a meeting point for residents and visitors, offering a musical lineup designed for community and celebration around the Virgen de Setefilla, coinciding with the end of the Novena.
Performances will begin on Friday, September 4th at 11:00 PM with Los Alpresa, followed by the Grupo La Carbonería at 1:00 AM. On Saturday, September 5th, the stage will feature Raya Real at 11:00 PM and the Grupo Salea at 1:00 AM.
Mayor Antonio Enamorado highlighted that these festivals are "much more than two nights of music," representing an "opportunity to meet, coexist, and celebrate together one of the traditions that most unites the people of Lora." He also emphasized the charitable and solidarity aspect of the activities, with the involvement of the Gremios de la Virgen (Guilds of the Virgin).
For her part, councilor María José Moreno encouraged residents to enjoy the Plaza de España and the festive atmosphere, assuring that the festivals have been prepared "for everyone" and with "facilities so that families can participate."
As a new feature, conciliation classrooms will be available during both festival nights (from 9:00 PM to 3:00 AM). Children aged 0 to 6 will be cared for at El Bailío, while those aged 6 to 12 will be at the Casa de la Cultura. Places are limited, and adapted activities will be offered, including for children with special needs, to promote inclusive festivals.
The City Council aims with this initiative to offer a reconciliation alternative so that families can enjoy the festivals with the peace of mind that their children are in a suitable and supervised space. Additionally, bars with affordable prices, organized by the Gremios de la Virgen de Setefilla, will be set up to contribute to the festive atmosphere and the charitable aspect.
