The La Carlota City Council has unveiled the official poster for its upcoming 2026 Fair and Festivals, scheduled from September 9 to 13. The presentation, led by the Councilor for Culture, Laura Bernier, and the poster's author, Julio Sánchez, reveals an image that encapsulates the municipality's identity and traditions.
Commemorative events in honor of the Cristo de la Misericordia will commence on September 2 with the traditional floral offering at the Parish Church of the Inmaculada Concepción. On September 4, a solemn mass will be held, followed by a procession accompanied by the Agrupación Musical Carlos III.
The Pre-Fair events will take place from September 4 to 6, offering a diverse musical program. Friday will feature performances by Rafa Moreno (Manuel Carrasco tribute), Junco, Lya, and DJ David Márquez, while Henry Méndez will perform at the Youth Tent. On Saturday, Aslándticos and La Gore will perform at the Municipal Tent, with Kevin Carrasco and Juan Vera at the Youth Tent. Sunday will be dedicated to flamenco, with a show at the Municipal Tent starring Lucía Leiva, Diego La Flor, Jesús León, Francisco Hurtado “Morilito”, and Javi Navarro, presented by Laura Gallego. That day will also include the Slingshot Championship.
The Fair will officially begin on Wednesday, September 9, with the traditional Children's Day, discounted attractions, and the lighting ceremony at 9:30 PM. That evening, a tribute dinner for those over 65 will be held, featuring performances by Cristina Pedroza and Xharma.
In the following days, the Municipal Tent will host a varied program with local artists and groups such as Los Senderos del Arte, David Castro y su Banda, La Conde Band, Orquesta Roma, Avenate, Olivetti, Orquesta Premium, Rockopop, Tarambana Show, Los Twingos, Orquesta Obsesión, Festival Play Star, and Trueno Azul, in addition to DJ sets.
On Sunday, September 13, the choirs Guadalmazán and Los Olivares, El Yunque, and Sueños de la Campiña will perform, along with the castanet group from the Asociación Cultural Amigos de Glora. Awards will also be presented for the night hiking routes and various equestrian contests.
The Fair will conclude on September 13 with fireworks and a special copla performance by Manuel Cribaño and Carolina Caparrós. The event will also feature a daily Horse Parade (12:00 PM - 8:00 PM), various contests, and a free Tourist Train service throughout the Fair.
