The meteorological phenomenon, which developed during the afternoon, left significant water records in a short period of time. According to data from the Ametse network, the town of Albox was the most affected, accumulating nearly 13 liters per square meter.
Other towns in the region also witnessed the storm, with measurements ranging between 2 and 5.6 liters per square meter in locations such as Fines, Laroya, Cantoria, Macael, Huércal-Overa, Olula del Río, and Oria.
The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) had an orange heat alert active in the area. The arrival of these rains, accompanied by electrical activity, caused a temporary presence of water in local ravines, an episode that precedes the red alert expected for the coming days, where maximums of around 45 degrees are expected.
