The Junta de Andalucía has issued an alert via the 'ES-Alert' system to mobile phones of inhabitants in the Valle de Lecrín. This action follows the activation of the emergency phase, operational situation 1, due to the forest fire declared this Saturday in Pinos del Valle.
Civil Protection has requested that residents of Pinos del Valle remain confined to their homes. They are urged to keep doors and windows closed and to place damp towels to prevent smoke entry. Furthermore, they are asked to follow the instructions of the authorities at all times.
In the extinction efforts, one light helicopter, three semi-heavy helicopters, two heavy helicopters, four ground-loading aircraft, two light amphibious aircraft, and one coordination aircraft are actively participating. On the ground, 54 personnel from the Plan Infoca are working alongside three fire engines.
