Delegate Ana Mata praised the initiative as "consolidated and deeply rooted in the Andalusian and national landscape," emphasizing its importance to the sector.
Sector data from the Linares region, to which La Carolina belongs, supports the fair's significance. The area boasts over 500 livestock farms and approximately 83,300 head of cattle, accounting for nearly 18% of the provincial total. Specifically in La Carolina, 108 active livestock farms operate, representing 21.6% of the regional census, with around 13,000 head of cattle.
The fair, running until next Sunday, features a packed schedule of activities. This Saturday will include two mini-bull runs through the town's streets and the award ceremony for the XLI Selective Livestock Morphological Contest. Sunday will conclude the event with a national auction of berrenda breeds.
