La Carolina once again becomes the center of summer training for the University of Jaén (UJA) with the celebration of its twenty-sixth edition of Summer Courses. This event, which will run until July 24, was inaugurated by UJA Rector Nicolás Ruiz, who highlighted the courses' trajectory as a national benchmark and a crucial space for critical thinking in the age of disinformation.
Rector Nicolás Ruiz, accompanied by the mayor of La Carolina, Cristóbal Pérez, and other institutional representatives, emphasized the importance of these summer sessions as platforms for intellectual resistance and the formation of an analytical citizenry committed to the common good. In a context marked by polarization and the challenges of new technologies, Ruiz stressed the university's mission to guide history and dispel uncertainties through reason and knowledge.
This edition features three courses of great social relevance: 'The Neuroscience of Magic and Illusionism Applied to Communication', running until July 17; 'Environment and Digital Life. What It Gives Us and What It Takes Away', from July 20 to 22; and 'Entrepreneurship with AI: Transform Your Business with Artificial Intelligence', from July 22 to 24. These courses address topics such as youth mental health in the digital environment, the impact of AI on businesses, and improving communication.
Nicolás Ruiz highlighted the utility and relevance of these programs, designed to address major current challenges. Lifelong learning, according to the rector, is an essential tool for strengthening the business fabric, creating opportunities, and generating quality employment, reaffirming the UJA's commitment as a driver of development in Jaén.
