The space, conceived as a worthy setting for the devotion to the 'dolorosa' from Pureza street, is the result of the work of ten professionals from various disciplines including architecture, painting, ceramics, sculpture, carving, and gilding.
The artwork is notable for the perfect integration of 16th-century Renaissance ceramic style with 18th-century Baroque, reflecting the excellence and personality of the brotherhood.

Art historian Ignacio Sánchez Rico is the mastermind behind this initiative, which was carried out during the tenure of Sergio Sopeña as senior brother. The brotherhood has a recognized team of advisors who have overseen the project.
The chapel will be open for visits by the faithful and the general public until June 7th, before the sacred image of Esperanza takes its place.
