The initiative, funded by the European Social Fund Plus, the Junta de Andalucía, and the Roquetas de Mar City Council, aims to foster healthy habits and responsible decision-making among young people during the patron saint festivities. It has involved the collaboration of various entities and the Andalusian Health Service.
The event took place last Friday on the promenade, where an information stand was set up. Material was provided on addiction prevention, responsible sexual and affective relationships, smoking prevention, and awareness of the risks of prolonged sun exposure without protection, as well as alcohol and tobacco consumption as risk factors for cancer.
A notable activity included the live creation of an urban art mural by local artist Sevi2Face, inspired by the promotion of healthy habits. Free breathalyzers and informational material were also distributed.
The organization highlighted the positive reception of this second edition, demonstrating collaboration between public administrations and third-sector entities for health promotion. The activity is part of the ERACIS Plus program.
