A few weeks ago, the Department of Social Welfare organized collection drives for essential food and goods for disaster relief. The mayor of Manilva, Mario Jiménez, along with the responsible councilwoman, Laura Salazar, visited the municipal warehouse that served as the collection point.
The Madrina association will manage the packages. From Manilva, the aid will depart for Jerez, the collection point in Andalusia, and then to Madrid, from where the humanitarian aid will be sent to the Latin American country.
“"We appreciate all the solidarity from the people of Manilva, who once again have shown their most humane side."
