The event organizers have announced via their social media channels the addition of Kristian Nairn, widely recognized for his portrayal of Hodor in the acclaimed HBO series. His character, despite limited dialogue, became one of the most iconic in the fiction, leaving behind one of the most memorable scenes of the entire saga.
Beyond his iconic role, Nairn has also cultivated a prominent career as a DJ, taking his music to international stages and establishing himself as a recognized figure within the electronic music scene.
This confirmation adds to previous announcements, such as the presence of the actors who played Sam and Frodo in The Lord of the Rings. The guest list also includes Michael Rooker, known for his roles in Guardians of the Galaxy and The Walking Dead; comic artist John Romita Jr., associated with the history of Spider-Man; and Kevin Smith, director of Clerks and creator of the View Askewniverse. The attendance of Sean Astin, remembered for his role as Sam in The Lord of the Rings and in The Goonies, and Iñaki Godoy, who plays Luffy in One Piece, has also been confirmed.
The 2026 edition of San Diego Comic-Con Málaga will maintain an attendance capacity of 90,000 attendees, with 22,500 people per day, but will significantly expand its spaces and content. New features include a new pavilion of over 9,000 square meters within the Exhibitor Hall, a larger Artists’ Alley, and a new auditorium. The organization has emphasized that the event will grow in area and operational capacity, offering more space for exhibitors, creators, and activities related to video games, comics, cinema, series, animation, and fan culture.
