Addressing over 6,000 attendees at the Carranque-Javier Imbroda Sports City Pavilion in Málaga, Moreno reaffirmed his commitment to a leading Andalusia. During the event, at the halfway point of the electoral campaign, he was accompanied by the president of the Partido Popular, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, highlighting his generosity and common sense.
“"We need a majority of security, a majority of confidence to make the decisions that will allow Andalusians to be protected against uncertainties."
The candidate expressed his support for the families of public servants who recently died and urged the Central Government to provide the Guardia Civil and National Police with the necessary resources to combat drug trafficking, especially on Europe's southern border. He proposed reforming the Penal Code to toughen penalties for those involved in the drug trafficking chain.
Regarding management, Moreno highlighted the transformation of Málaga and Andalusia over the past seven years, citing the creation of 21,657 new companies in the province, an increase of 28,400 self-employed individuals, and over 157,000 people registered with Social Security. He mentioned unblocked projects such as the Málaga Metro and the expansion of the Costa del Sol Hospital.
In housing matters, he announced that the Junta de Andalucía, in cooperation with local institutions, will promote 4,100 new homes and rehabilitate another 4,500 in Málaga. Aid for first-time homebuyers under 35 will also be strengthened through rent-to-own programs. He emphasized the importance of respecting private property and the need to change laws to protect owners against illegal occupation.
Finally, Moreno urged against overconfidence due to polls and encouraged attendees to make a “final effort” to convey a message of honesty and tireless work, with the aim of “filling the ballot boxes with hope and enthusiasm” and securing the future of Andalusia.
