Train services on the C-2 line of Málaga's Cercanías, connecting the capital of the Costa del Sol with Álora in the Guadalhorce Valley, are temporarily suspended. The incident occurred after a Medium Distance train collided with an overhead power line.
According to Adif, the train involved is Medium Distance train 13921, traveling from María Zambrano station to Seville Santa Justa. The diesel-powered train is currently stopped at the entrance to the Málaga town of Álora.
Adif specified that the affected overhead line had become detached due to an issue during scheduled works in the area. Consequently, the circulation on the C-2 line of the Cercanías network, which runs between the Málaga capital and the Guadalhorce Valley area, has been halted.
