The Cordoban municipality of Hinojosa del Duque has unveiled its cultural agenda for the summer of 2026, under the slogan 'Veranazo 2026'. The program aims to highlight local heritage and provide diverse leisure and tourism options.
Activities commence on July 14th with the presentation of the 9th Edition of the Popular Theater 'La Vaquera de la Finojosa' at the Plaza de la Catedral. Subsequently, on July 30th and 31st and August 1st and 2nd, this play, declared of Andalusian Tourist Interest, will be performed. It is directed by Mónica González Moreno with musical composition by Miguel Cerro Moreno. Tickets are available on the official website.
In terms of tourism and development, the 'Experiencias Hinojoseñas' (Hinojosa Experiences) will feature events such as the 'Experiencia Nocturna Monumental' (Monumental Night Experience) on July 3rd and August 7th. On July 24th, a 'Historia y Naturaleza' (History and Nature) experience will take place at the Ermita de Santo Domingo, and on August 17th, a similar event will be held at the Ermita de San Benito, including sky observation and musical performances.
The 'Jamón Music Festival', themed 'The festival with the taste of a village', will run throughout July. It includes a humor stage with chirigotas and a DJ on July 17th, a tribute dinner and wine tasting on July 18th, and a family show on July 19th. On August 18th and 19th, the Plaza de la Catedral will host piano and flamenco performances, respectively.
The festival continues on August 21st with the 'Escenario Jamón Rock' (Jamón Rock Stage) at the Caseta Municipal, featuring tribute bands to groups like Extremoduro and Fito y Fitipaldis. Finally, on August 14th, the Teatro Lorca, el Poeta de Nuestro Tiempo (Lorca Theater, the Poet of Our Time) will be presented by the Theater Group of the Cofradía de la Oración en el Huerto at the Caseta Municipal.
