Yesterday afternoon, the municipal theatre stage came alive with the performance of Ladies in Blue, a musical offering that is part of the Culturando 2026-2027 series. The show, designed to create an intimate atmosphere, brought together an audience that enjoyed the evening.
The duo, formed by Txako Jones and Kid Carlos, presented an intimate format focused on voice and guitar. Their repertoire traced a journey through the history of African-American music, highlighting key female figures in genres such as blues, gospel, jazz, and soul.
The musical voyage spanned from pioneers like Bessie Smith to legends such as Nina Simone, Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, and Janis Joplin. The performance not only celebrated these great artists but also underscored the contribution of women to the evolution of these musical genres.
Txako Jones's vocal performance, alongside Kid Carlos's guitar accompaniment, was described as spectacular, achieving a special connection with the attendees. The combination of vocal power and guitar expressiveness created an immersive atmosphere.
The Culture Department of Casariche expressed its gratitude to the audience for their participation in this event, which is part of the autumn-winter cultural program Culturando 2026-2027. This initiative is supported by the Culture Program 107 of the Provincial Council of Seville.
