The TODA Almería Local Energy Community (CEL) has reopened registration for residents and businesses in the municipality of Cuevas del Almanzora to join its shared self-consumption project based on solar energy generation. This initiative allows households and small and medium-sized enterprises to access a local, renewable energy model without the need for construction or initial investment, aiming to lower electricity bills.
The City Council provides public infrastructure for the installation of photovoltaic panels, enabling citizens to generate clean and affordable energy. The energy distributed among participants comes from solar installations located on municipal buildings ceded for this purpose, promoting a model of proximity and shared consumption.
A notable new feature is the expansion of the access radius to five kilometers around the photovoltaic installations. This modification will allow a greater number of homes and businesses, from both the urban center and its districts, to benefit from the cooperative system, which offers immediate savings, greater protection against market fluctuations, and no commitment to stay.
TODA Almería CEL also highlights the initiative's positive environmental impact by promoting the consumption of 100% renewable energy and contributing to the reduction of polluting emissions in the municipality. To attract new members, the "Promo Amigo" campaign has been launched, where current members can invite family or acquaintances, with both parties receiving three free months for each new member (maximum of four per participant).
The technical team of TODA Almería CEL offers personalized assistance in Cuevas del Almanzora to resolve doubts and facilitate the adhesion process for interested individuals and SMEs. Information and registration management are available through a toll-free number and the entity's official website.
