During the night of last Friday, the central Plaza del Rey in San Fernando was filled with residents interested in observing the sky and stars. The scientific activity was organized by the Astronomical Association of San Fernando, with the support of the City Council.
This initiative is part of the commemorations for September 24th, a date that marks the 216th anniversary of the General and Extraordinary Courts of 1810. The square, particularly lively as it was a Friday night, transformed into an improvised observatory for attendees.
Science will return to this emblematic space next Friday with the celebration of the European Researchers' Night. This event will feature over 70 proposals developed by the University of Cádiz and the Descubre Foundation, in collaboration with the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC).
