The initiative, named ‘Janda Vejer Activa’, is promoted by the Mancomunidad de Municipios de la Comarca de La Janda and will take place from June 17, 2026, to June 16, 2027. It primarily targets individuals aged between 30 and 45 who have been unemployed for an extended period.
Over twelve months, participants will combine theoretical training with practical work experience through an alternating training contract. The goal is to equip them with new skills and improve their chances of re-entering the job market.
The training curriculum totals 780 hours and includes obtaining Level 1 professional certificates in areas such as 'Data and Document Recording and Processing Operations', 'Auxiliary Operations for Administrative and General Services', and 'Basic Customer Service Activities'.
The welcome event for participants was attended by the territorial delegate for Employment in Cádiz, Daniel Sánchez Román; the president of the Mancomunidad de La Janda, Javier Rodríguez Cabezas; and the mayor of Vejer, Antonio González Mellado.
According to Sánchez Román, the program not only provides official professional certificates but also valuable work experience, emphasizing the collaboration between administrations to enhance the qualifications of the unemployed.
This initiative is part of the Junta de Andalucía's active employment policies, focusing on groups facing greater challenges in accessing the labor market. The Mancomunidad de La Janda acts as the promoting entity, with funding from the Ministry of Employment, Business, and Self-Employment.
Through this project, 15 residents of the region will have the opportunity to gain accredited training and experience in administrative and customer service tasks, profiles highly sought after in offices and document management.
