The official presentation of this innovative proposal took place in the plenary hall of the Torrox Town Hall. The Councillor for Commerce, José Manuel Fernández (PP), and the promoter and businessman Antonio José Medina, also known as DJ Worzel, were responsible for unveiling the details of the route.
As they highlighted, participants who complete the 'tapaporte' will have the opportunity to enter raffles with attractive prizes. Fernández emphasized that this initiative is essential to "dynamize local commerce and highlight our gastronomy," underscoring the municipal commitment to supporting businesses in the sector.
“"This proposal will allow us to dynamize local commerce and highlight our gastronomy."
Participation in the route is free, and the 'tapaporte' brochures will be available both at the participating establishments and at the tourist offices and Citizen Service Centers (SAC) in Torrox. The set price for each tapa with a drink or cocktail is four euros. This year, as a novelty, the offer has been expanded to include cocktail tasting in several venues, thus enriching the gastronomic experience.
Prizes for those who complete the route include dinners valued at 50 euros (third prize), 60 euros (second prize), and 70 euros (first prize), in addition to cocktails. The first 30 people to submit their completed 'tapaporte' will receive a personalized t-shirt, as will the three main raffle winners. Participants themselves will act as judges, rating the tapas and cocktails from 1 to 10, with prizes including a weekend for two people at a hotel in Granada for the highest ratings.
