The Torre del Mar Promenade will host the third edition of the Ruta 091 Solidarity Race, an initiative that combines sport and solidarity. All funds raised from this event will be allocated to the Valeriana Association, an organization dedicated to promoting and preventing mental health through individual and group support programs.
The day will feature various participation modalities, adapted for different ages and fitness levels. The children's category will start at 10:00 AM with routes of 600, 1,000, and 1,500 meters. Subsequently, the main race will begin at 10:30 AM, covering a distance of 5,500 meters. Both starts will take place from the Torre del Mar Promenade, allowing participants to complete the route by running or walking to encourage maximum citizen involvement.
In addition to its sporting aspect, the Ruta 091 aims to raise awareness of the National Police's immediate response service, 091, and strengthen ties between security forces and the community. During the event, complementary activities such as police unit exhibitions, a skills circuit, and operational demonstrations will be held.
“"The initiative seeks to consolidate itself as an annual event that combines sport, social awareness, and citizen participation."
The presentation of this edition highlighted the event's consolidation and growth in participation over recent years. Institutional representatives emphasized the race's charitable nature and the crucial role of the beneficiary social entities, as well as the continuity of an initiative that attracts more citizens each year.
It is estimated that the race could gather over 1,000 participants, maintaining the high turnout of previous editions. The organization has stressed the importance of inter-institutional collaboration to ensure the event's success. Registrations are open on the official website, costing 12 euros for adults and 10 euros for minors, including a commemorative technical t-shirt.
