On Thursday, April 23, the beaches of Rincón de la Victoria will host the second edition of the Inter-School Rugby Tournament. This event will bring together 250 1st-year ESO students from different educational centers in the region for a day dedicated to sport and integration.
The activity, organized by the Victorianos Rugby Club in collaboration with the APAL Sports Department, will take place between 9:30 AM and 1:00 PM. Participants will compete in tag rugby matches, a training modality that replaces traditional tackles with the “stealing” of ribbons worn by players at their waist.
The matches will be played in a 5-on-5 format, with each lasting 7 minutes and four fields being used simultaneously. The main objective of this initiative is to encourage sports practice, teamwork, and the inherent values of rugby among young people, as well as to foster coexistence among students from different high schools.
