The initial two grand prizes of this traditional rowing competition will take place in the waters of La Cala del Moral and Torre de Benagalbón. The dates scheduled for these events are May 2 and May 16, respectively.

The opening day will be on May 2, when the league's rowers will debut at 10:00 AM in the La Cala del Moral Grand Prize. Subsequently, the second event on the calendar will be held in Torre de Benagalbón on May 16, also starting at 10:00 AM.

The league will feature regattas for various categories, ranging from Children to Veterans. Additionally, the BSC category, dedicated to women battling cancer, highlights the inclusive and empowering nature of the initiative.

The Provincial Chalana League comprises a total of five events, with three scheduled for May and the remaining two for September. This year, Rincón de la Victoria is hosting the first two grand prizes, where the province's leading traditional rowing clubs will compete.

In the previous edition of the league, the Club Faro de Torre del Mar emerged victorious, while the Club de Remo La Cala del Moral secured second place.

The primary objective of this competition is to preserve, promote, and ensure the continuity of traditional chalana rowing, which historically involved boats used for fishing and have gradually disappeared from the Andalusian coastlines.
