The training camp, aimed at nationally recognized athletes, will take place from September 11th to 13th in Teo, La Coruña. Natalia Trujillo will compete in the youth category up to 52 kilos, while Miguel Ángel Cobo will participate in the youth category up to 60 kilos.
Natalia Trujillo is currently ranked number one nationally. Her impressive record includes six Andalusian championship titles, three Spanish championships, and one national runner-up title. She has also been the Grand Winner in 2022, 2023, and 2024, and has accumulated six gold, three silver, and two bronze medals in National Leagues.
Miguel Ángel Cobo, on his part, holds the second position in the national ranking. He has been a three-time champion of Andalusia and a three-time champion of Spain, in addition to winning two Grand Winner titles in 2022 and 2024. In National Leagues, his achievements include five gold medals, two silvers, and three fifth-place finishes.
Both karatekas have also shared team successes, securing a gold medal in the National Team League and two silvers and two bronzes in the Spanish Club Championship.
This new call-up signifies their incorporation into this national monitoring and training program, following their previous participation in training camps and programs with the Spanish Cadet Karate Team.
