The Mancomunidad de Municipios de la Costa del Sol Axarquía, in collaboration with the Generación Segura Association, has launched the ‘Generación Rural: Emprende y Avanza’ program to promote entrepreneurship and professional development among the region's youth.
This project, aimed at young people aged between 16 and 24 residing in Málaga municipalities with fewer than 5,000 inhabitants, seeks to offer tools and knowledge to facilitate their entry into the job market or the creation of their own businesses. The initiative, subsidized by the Diputación de Málaga, will focus on self-employment and innovation within a framework of sustainability.

"We found it a very interesting project due to the content it covers and the audience it targets. We believe these workshops are very practical and necessary for young people, as they will resolve many of the doubts they have regarding their professional development."
The free, in-person workshops will be distributed across several locations throughout Axarquía to ensure accessibility for participants. 50 spots have been made available, and the registration period is now open, with the goal of reaching all towns in the region.
The program will cover various areas, including career and academic guidance, as well as specific training on how to register as a freelancer, create a youth association, establish a company, or develop a social project. The final phase of the program will include a networking day for young people to connect and share their projects.

"Participants will be able to attend entrepreneurship workshops, career and academic guidance, as well as learn how to register as self-employed, create a youth association, establish their own company, or develop a social project."
The Generación Segura Association, a youth organization from Málaga, is responsible for developing these social intervention projects, with a strong commitment to social transformation and community well-being, providing active participation, training, and support to young people.
