The white club has finalized the design for an initiative aiming to turn over 6,000 square meters of currently unused land into a hub for tourism and culture in the city. The proposal, led by architect Raúl del Moral, includes the construction of three museums, one dedicated to olive oil, along with a space focused on the club's history within the stadium itself.
The complex will also feature sports facilities such as two five-a-side football pitches, commercial areas, a stage, and a variety of bars and restaurants. Notably, a café will be situated in the North Stand itself, offering direct views of the pitch and integrating with the surrounding Rambla del Deporte area.
“"We have been working on this for many months, and I believe this changes everything. I think Jaén deserves its administrations to support this."
Fran Anera, General Director of Promotion and Development, presented the project to the acting Minister of Tourism and Sport of the Regional Government of Andalusia, Arturo Bernal. Anera highlighted the project's potential to attract the flow of tourists passing through the region. According to data cited by Anera, an estimated 13.9 million organized tourists annually pass through Jaén, with projections to capture 2.5% of them at an average ticket price of 15 euros per tourist.
The project, which is technically complete and awaiting professional endorsement, seeks the backing of the Jaén City Council, the Provincial Council, and the Regional Government of Andalusia to commence construction as soon as possible.
