The Hermandad de Emigrantes has published the regulations governing participation in the Pentecost Pilgrimage 2026. A key new requirement is mandatory prior registration for all pilgrims, whether they are members of the brotherhood or not. The corporation has stressed the importance of adhering strictly to the established deadlines, as no applications will be accepted outside the specified dates.

The regulations aim to reinforce crucial aspects such as safety and the preservation of the natural environment, in line with the rules of the Doñana National Park. Specific prohibitions include lighting fires, bringing pets into protected areas, and disposing of waste outside designated bins.

Regarding the organization of the journey, the brotherhood has reminded participants that the procession order is unalterable, strictly prohibiting overtaking the 'simpecado' carriage during the route. Furthermore, each group or 'peña' must appoint a responsible person to ensure compliance with all regulations.

The rules also regulate various participation methods, such as traditional carts, hitches, all-terrain vehicles, trailers, horse riders, and pilgrims on foot, detailing specific documentation and organizational requirements. It has been stipulated that at least 50% of the members of each group must be brothers of the brotherhood.

Registration deadlines vary by modality: vehicles and organized groups can register from April 6 to 20, while pilgrims and horse riders will have from April 20 to May 8 to formalize their participation. The General Pilgrimage Assembly will take place on May 5, and organizational draws on May 7, both events at the brotherhood's headquarters in Huelva.

Registration fees range from 20 euros for horses to 225 euros for trailers, with surcharges applicable to non-member participants. By implementing these regulations, the Hermandad de Emigrantes reaffirms its commitment to an orderly, safe, and environmentally respectful pilgrimage.
