The event, presided over by rector Pedro Mercado, brought together the most distinguished young individuals, their families, and representatives from educational and administrative bodies to celebrate their academic achievements. The ceremony recognized the academic trajectory of students with the top scores in the 2026 PAU, covering the province of Granada, the autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla, and Spanish Institutes in Morocco.
During the ceremony, students received a diploma certifying their outstanding academic records, marking the beginning of a new phase in their education. Three students with the highest scores spoke on behalf of the distinguished group, sharing their experiences during high school and their preparation for the Selectividad. They emphasized the effort invested and extended their gratitude to family, teachers, and educational institutions.

Among the honorees was Ana Mancera Lidueña, who achieved the highest score in all of Andalusia. She was followed on the podium by Íñigo Javier Goitia Molina and Adrián Tejedor García. In total, 35 students were recognized at the Hospital Real of Granada for their academic brilliance.
