During a meeting in the Zaidín neighborhood with young people from Granada, a party representative asserted that their political group offers the “best project” to ensure that youth can build their future through public initiatives, guaranteeing equal opportunities.
Among the announced initiatives is a 20% advance on the total mortgage at zero interest, a measure designed to facilitate access to first homes. Plans also include new rental aid, the creation of more public student residences, and free public transport for specific age groups.
“"We want to remove one of the biggest obstacles to emancipation. While the PP turns housing into a privilege, the PSOE will help young people, and also working families, to achieve this goal."
The representative criticized the Andalusian Government's housing management, highlighting the “failure and blockage” of the Youth Rental Voucher in the community, which, according to their statements, was poorly managed by the Junta. In education, the party advocated for public education and announced a law to curb the expansion of private universities in Andalusia, seeking a stable funding model for public universities.
In the cultural sector, the party proposed expanding the Youth Cultural Voucher, an initiative by the Spanish Government, with the aim of facilitating young people's access to culture while boosting the Andalusian creative and cultural sector, which also generates employment and opportunities.
Another socialist party representative emphasized that the program is designed to improve the lives of young people, including measures such as a Housing Guarantee Fund, the expansion of rental vouchers with regional funds, and completely free public Vocational Training (FP). A university accommodation voucher for students from the province attending the University of Granada (UGR) and free transport for those under 18 and under 25 were also mentioned.
