The Citizens' Unity Table 'Lucena for its Hospital' announced the support of these political parties for the initiative. The proposal seeks to reintegrate the healthcare design, originally conceived in 2017, into the regional government's planning and investments, countering the alternative 'Process Resolution Center' proposed by the current administration.
Socialist MP Ángeles Férriz stated that the PSOE will support the amendment, emphasizing that the hospital is a project "that had already begun and was underway" and not merely a whim.
For its part, Adelante Andalucía, through its Córdoba MP, Mariví Serrano, described the Lucena case as "paradigmatic of a promise owed for over 20 years," calling the demand "very logical and very fair."
The spokesperson for Por Andalucía, Antonio Maíllo, renewed his party's support and stressed the need for the commitment to be translated into a specific budget allocation for 2027, acknowledging the aspirations of Lucena's citizens.
The citizens' platform believes that the support from these three groups opens the door to modifying the Partido Popular's decision to replace the original project. The stance of Vox is still pending confirmation, although the Table recalls previous support from local representatives of the party for motions related to the hospital in the Lucena City Council and the Provincial Council of Córdoba.
The Citizens' Unity Table is confident that the processing of the Regional Government's 2027 budget will secure the necessary funding for this infrastructure, whose construction has been demanded for over two decades. The platform will continue working to garner maximum parliamentary support.
