The PP's spokesperson for Agriculture in the Senate, Senator Lorena Guerra, requested that aid granted by the Junta de Andalucía to those affected by storms be exempt from IRPF, equating them to aid from the central government. Guerra argued that the damage and need are the same for farmers and ranchers, regardless of who grants the aid, and described these funds as necessary resources for recovery, not a prize.
The senator lamented the lack of response from the Minister of Agriculture, Luis Planas, to a PP question in the Senate on the matter, suggesting the minister is more focused on his potential candidacy for the FAO. Guerra criticized that Planas "beat around the bush as always."

Regarding the price of agricultural diesel, Guerra stated it is around 1.70 euros per liter, a 48% increase compared to the previous year, making a 600-liter tank cost 1,000 euros. She emphasized that the government's current aid of up to 20 cents per liter, ending on September 30, is insufficient to cover these costs.

Therefore, she advocated for an emergency aid plan that addresses not only the rising cost of diesel but also fertilizers and other production costs. She warned that the agricultural sector has already announced new protests, as farmers "do not take their tractors to the road for entertainment" but because the situation is "strangling them."
Finally, the Cordoban parliamentarian mentioned other issues such as bureaucracy and administrative demands, calling on the Ministry of Agriculture for greater anticipation and response. She announced that the PP has registered an initiative in the Senate to address the issue of agricultural diesel.
