The city of Granada reveals itself in a different way when viewed from the air. Videographer and digital creator Antonio Fernández, known on social media as @embat_drone, has captured this perspective in a series of eight videos recorded from a drone. The footage travels through the city at different times of day, from the silence of dawn to sunset, offering a complete and dynamic view of its monuments and streets.
One of the videos focuses on the Alhambra at sunset, as the sun paints its walls in reddish and golden hues, a spectacle the creator himself describes as one of the most charming in the world. Another recording descends to the Carrera del Darro, showing the city still asleep with the first lights touching the facades and the river's water setting the rhythm.
The series also delves into the Alcaicería, the old silk market, presented as a labyrinth of covered alleys that still retains its commercial essence. Another video starts from the Church of Santa Ana next to the Darro, ascending to show the city awakening, with the river, the rooftops, and finally the Alhambra dominating the hill.
The aerial tour continues over the tea house area, where the network of narrow streets transforms into a compact maze. The Granada Cathedral is the focus of another video, highlighting its silhouette at dawn as a central landmark. Finally, the Albaicín neighborhood is shown open to the horizon next to Sierra Elvira, and the series concludes by returning to the Alhambra at sunset.
The complete collection of videos does not aim to show a different Granada, but a complete Granada: the one that sleeps, awakens, comes alive, and empties as evening falls. Seen from the air, the city is perceived as a single continuous movement, reminding us that, even from above, Granada never stops being alive.
