Tourist apartments in Córdoba experienced a notable rebound during June 2026, surpassing the previous year's figures and contrasting with the hotel sector's decline. The main driver behind this growth was national tourism.
In the province, residents of Spain choosing tourist apartments increased by 71.43%, from 3,087 in June 2025 to 5,292 in 2026. Overnight stays by Spaniards also soared by 67.04%, reaching 11,544 nights.
The city of Córdoba capital was the primary engine of this trend. The capital's apartments hosted 4,271 national tourists, a 73.48% increase from the previous year, and Spanish overnight stays totaled 9,769 nights, a 72.60% rise.
Thanks to this internal boost, the province registered a total of 8,819 travelers (+31.37%) and 18,983 overnight stays (+30.21%) in tourist apartments, exceeding the levels of June 2024.
In contrast, foreign tourism showed a more stable performance. In the province, travelers residing abroad decreased by 2.73%, and their overnight stays fell by 2.99%. In the capital, foreign arrivals remained almost unchanged in visitor numbers (-0.09%), although overnight stays dropped by 9.59%.
Overall, the city of Córdoba received 75,344 travelers in June 2026, representing a 15.61% decrease compared to the previous year, due to the contraction in foreign tourist arrivals and lower hotel occupancy.
A shift in accommodation preferences is observed: tourist apartments have increased their market share in the capital to 10.02%, consolidating themselves as an alternative to traditional hotel offerings.
