The incident occurred around 9:00 AM, when the vehicle hit the curb and ended up overturned on the passenger side. Apart from the driver, other occupants were able to exit the vehicle on their own.
Members of the Prevention, Extinction of Fires and Rescue Service of the City Council of Jaén participated in the rescue efforts, managing to free the woman through the driver's door. The driver was ultimately unharmed.
Local Police and the 061 emergency service also intervened in the operation. The Civil Guard was also alerted to the incident.

Separately, on August 2nd, the Civil Guard rescued a 67-year-old man in Arroyo del Ojanco who had been trapped in a stream bed for over two days after an accidental fall while walking. The man, who had traveled about five kilometers trying to get out, was found disoriented and with contusions.
