Officers were conducting routine surveillance and prevention duties when they observed two individuals whose behavior raised suspicion. After proceeding to identify them and check their belongings, they found a high-power electric device among one of the individuals' possessions, hidden within a large flashlight.
According to current regulations, these types of devices are classified as weapons whose possession and use are restricted, authorized only for specially trained officials.
In light of these events, the officers proceeded to confiscate the device and initiate the corresponding proceedings to inform the competent judicial authority.
Furthermore, during the intervention, it was confirmed that the individual carrying the device was subject to an existing court order prohibiting the possession of any type of weapon, a circumstance that was also brought to the attention of the judicial authority.
“"The Councilor for Citizen Security, Juan Pérez, highlighted the magnificent work carried out by the officers and, furthermore, emphasized the great importance of prevention and surveillance tasks, as well as the constant presence of the Local Police on the streets of Martos."
