The political party criticizes that both the Mayor and the United Left group did not support the initiative, preventing it from being debated. The popular party considers this decision a "lack of institutional commitment and willingness to address a situation that causes concern among both the population of Ceuta and the country as a whole."
From the Popular Party, they defended the need to show support for the citizens of Ceuta and the Security Forces and Corps, while also calling for the restoration of normality in the autonomous city.
“"Ceuta is not a photo. It is being there, supporting its citizens, and defending the return to normality."
The party has indicated that it will continue to defend these positions and has advocated that support for Ceuta should translate into "concrete initiatives and actions."
