The gastronomic day, organized by a group of friends from the board of directors of the Brotherhood of the Risen Christ of Sanlúcar de Barrameda, has the collaboration of the Neighborhood Community of La Jara-Valdeconejos and the municipalities of Sanlúcar de Barrameda and Chipiona.
This event, now in its tenth edition, has become an annual gathering point for neighbors and participants. The Brotherhood of the Risen Christ, based in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, maintains a strong connection with Valdeconejos, where it holds this activity.
The event will take place in the hall of the Neighborhood Community of La Jara-Valdeconejos, promoting coexistence and solidarity. The funds raised will be allocated to the brotherhood's social works.
Between 30 and 35 campero garlic cooks are expected to participate, with the possibility of extending the venue outdoors if weather conditions permit. The day typically attracts between 500 and 600 people and will feature free tastings of campero garlic, a bar with popular prices, country stews, and grape must, along with musical performances.
The contest will award economic prizes to the top three finishers: 100 euros for the winner, 50 euros for the second place, and 25 euros for the third, in addition to their respective trophies. All contestants will also receive a participation diploma.
The organization also counts on the collaboration of numerous companies and establishments, contributing to the event and a raffle. This year, part of the initiative will also be dedicated to the traditional Three Kings project.
