The Torrenueva Costa City Council has once again launched its initiative to give priority to pedestrians on the promenade during the summer season. This measure aims to facilitate movement in an area that experiences a significant increase in visitors, tripling its usual population.
From June 15th to September 15th, vehicle circulation will be restricted on the promenade between 8:00 PM and 3:00 AM. Additionally, parking of any type of vehicle is strictly prohibited 24 hours a day on this street.
The promenade is the hub of social life in Torrenueva Costa, both during the day, with families and beachgoers, and at night, when it becomes a meeting point for strolls and gatherings.
To inform citizens, the council has installed informational signs. Surveillance will be carried out by cameras located at the main access points: Paseo Barlovento, Acera del Mar, and Calle Falúa.
There are exceptions to this rule. Residents with permits can access their garages, provided their vehicles are registered and any changes are communicated in advance. Authorized work vehicles may circulate until 12:00 AM. People with reduced mobility are also permitted access and parking until 8:00 PM, requiring prior notification to the council for permits during restricted hours.
This measure solidifies Torrenueva Costa as a leading municipality in accessibility on the Costa Tropical, prioritizing the safety and well-being of pedestrians.
