The company managing the Municipal Water Service, Arcgisa, in collaboration with Aqualia, will carry out improvement works on the water supply network of La Línea de la Concepción next Wednesday, September 16. This work will focus on Mateo Inurria street.
The main objective is the installation of new shut-off valves. These will allow for the optimization of the network's overall operation and facilitate the precise isolation of affected sections in case of a breakdown. This aims to prevent isolated incidents from causing supply cuts in areas larger than strictly necessary.
The work will begin at 08:00 AM and is expected to conclude at 04:00 PM. During this period, residents on Mateo Inurria street, specifically in the section between Menéndez Pelayo avenue and Gerona street, as well as at the intersection with Clavel street, may experience pressure reductions or temporary supply interruptions.
These actions are part of an ongoing plan to improve the city's water supply network, aimed at optimizing its performance, reducing water leaks, and decreasing the amount of water lost within the municipal system.
The execution of these improvements is subject to favorable weather conditions. If these are not met, the work will be postponed to a later date.
Aqualia recommends that residents in the affected areas keep their taps closed and avoid using water-requiring appliances, such as washing machines or dishwashers, during the scheduled work hours. This will help prevent issues in internal installations when the supply is restored. Once the service is back, it is advised to run the water for a few minutes before normal use, as a preventive measure against possible dragging of small impurities accumulated in the pipes.
Arcgisa and Aqualia regret any inconvenience these works may cause and appreciate the residents' understanding and cooperation. For any supply-related issues, Aqualia maintains its free breakdown assistance service, Aqualia Contact, available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, at 900 81 44 83.
