The selected project for the children's area of La Batería Park in Torremolinos involves an investment exceeding one million euros for a complete renovation. The new space, named 'magical forest', aims to immerse young children in an atmosphere of freshness and color inspired by nature.
The development will be divided into two distinct play zones. A dry play area of nearly 600 square meters, divided into three sections that will incorporate vegetation and shade elements such as pergolas, covering at least 30% of the total surface. Another area will be a 150-square-meter 'splash park' with 21 water play elements, designed as a landscape sequence integrated within the park.
The 'magical forest' concept evokes childhood memories, contact with nature, and adventure, promoting the value of its preservation. The goal is to create a space for coexistence, healthy leisure, and family enjoyment, aiming to become a benchmark for the metropolitan area of Málaga.
The project includes the installation of inclusive play elements adapted to different age groups, the replacement of flooring, and the improvement of universal accessibility with pedestrian pathways.
This initiative is co-financed by the Provincial Council of Málaga through the Municipal Economic Assistance Plan (PAEM 2025-4th phase).
