During the ceremony, the career of a football player trained in the municipality, currently playing for a renowned club and part of the national team, was highlighted. Additionally, a basketball player competing in the university league in the United States, who won a gold medal at the U20 Eurobasket last year, was also recognized.

The event also served to acknowledge the potential of other young local athletes, as well as the work of groups such as the Junior Rhythmic Gymnastics Ensemble and the ADJ San Pedro senior team. Furthermore, examples of personal overcoming by several individuals were emphasized.

The day began with a minute of silence in memory of a recently deceased athlete, whose figure was remembered throughout the event. Mention was also made of the contribution of the Club Recreativo San Pedro in promoting grassroots sports and the collaboration of the Security Forces, including the Local Police.
