This provincial circuit is reinforced as the fundamental basketball event before the start of the official season. The provincial institution's Sports delegate, Antonio Martín, highlighted that the province will be the epicenter of this sport for the coming weeks, hosting a tournament that will measure the strength of local basketball and boost sports activity on Córdoba's courts.
Martín emphasized the Diputación's commitment to healthy habits and grassroots and competitive sports. He pointed out that the Diputación Cup is not only a top-level competitive tournament for the clubs but also a platform to showcase the organizational work and talent of Córdoba's municipalities.
For her part, the FAB delegate in Córdoba, Inmaculada Coba, stressed the logistical importance of the competition, calling it the perfect scenario for technical preparation prior to the regular leagues.
In the men's category, 7 teams will participate: Cajasol Coto Córdoba, Climanavas Agrometal Dehesas Reunidas (from Peñarroya); UCAL, from Lucena, Ciudad Alfareram, from La Rambla; CDP Cabra; and CB Puente Genil Codimar Basket.
In the women's category, CD Cordobabasket and Cajasol Córdoba will directly contest the final on September 22nd at the IDM Fidiana. This match will pit two teams aiming for category promotion against each other.
