The initiative, presented by the Councillor for Culture, Rodrigo Romero, maintains the three participation categories: ‘BookFace’, ‘Marcapáginas’, and ‘Leo y recomiendo’. The goal is to promote reading as a fun and accessible activity for all residents.
Seven participation groups have been established. The first is for individuals with different abilities. The other six groups are divided by age, from children aged 3 to 5 to those over 16, covering different educational cycles such as Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, and Secondary Education (ESO).
The ‘BookFace’ category involves taking a photograph where the participant's face or body part aligns with the cover image of a book, open to groups 1, 6, and 7. ‘Marcapáginas’ invites participants to create a freehand drawing for a 5x20 cm bookmark, open to all age groups.
The ‘Leo y recomiendo’ (I Read and Recommend) category requires creating a video or reel, up to one minute long, recommending a book. Submissions must tag the Fuengirola Libraries and include the hashtag #leoyrecomiendofuengirola25 on Instagram. This category is also open to all groups.
The deadline for submitting entries is November 14th. Submissions can be made at the municipal libraries, educational center secretariats, or via Instagram for the video category. Winners will receive a diploma and a book prize.
