“"In the last elections, I made several important commitments to the people of Fuengirola, and especially to the residents of Los Boliches: to create parking, completely renovate the Estadio Santa Fe-Antonio Basilio, and provide a definitive solution to the precarious and obsolete courthouses we have in our city. It is now a reality. Today, we begin this ambitious project with the demolition of the current facilities."

The Fuengirola City Council has commenced construction work on the Los Boliches Complex, a project that includes the creation of an underground megaparking, the expansion of the Estadio Santa Fe Antonio Basilio, and the construction of new centralized courthouses.
Work has begun with the demolition of current infrastructure to make way for a megaparking facility with capacity for 1,070 vehicles spread across three underground levels. The sports complex will see its surface area increase to 14,500 square meters, incorporating part of Francisco Rivera ‘Paquirri’ street. The objective is to increase the floor area by over 1,000 square meters.
The development, described as the most economically ambitious in the city's history, also includes the creation of more sports spaces. A new football pitch with a 90-degree orientation change will be built, along with a renovated indoor pavilion for hockey, another for volleyball, and a third multifunctional space. All these facilities will feature stands, changing rooms, and storage areas. An outdoor recreational swimming pool of 312.5 square meters will be located on the building's roof.
Furthermore, the complex will house the city's new courthouses, consolidating all services currently dispersed across different buildings. These facilities will occupy over 7,000 square meters and will have an independent entrance, completely separate from the rest of the building.
The municipal investment in this intervention amounts to 48,766,872 euros. The deadline for drafting the technical project is three months, and the execution works will last for 29 months. The awarded Temporary Business Union consists of the companies Vialterra Infraestructuras S. A.-Urbasur Actividades y Servicios S. L. The awarded company has proposed, among its improvements, the delivery and operational launch of the underground parking before the completion of the other projects.
