Law enforcement carried out raids in Marbella and Estepona on April 10, as well as in properties in Malaga and Churriana. During these operations, 1,434 kilograms of cocaine and 800 grams of 'tusi', a synthetic drug cocktail, were seized.
Simultaneously, a chalet in Sant Just Desvern, near Barcelona, was searched, revealing another 1,351 kilograms of cocaine hidden inside. The total weight of the confiscated drugs exceeds 2,700 kilograms.
In total, 15 individuals have been arrested. Twelve are currently in pretrial custody, accused of drug trafficking and belonging to a criminal organization. Three further suspects were arrested days later in Pilar de la Horadada (Alicante) for their role in transporting the drugs.
Subsequently, three more arrests were made in Marbella and Estepona, followed by two more in Malaga and Barcelona. These latter individuals are accused of providing homes, premises, and vehicles to the network, often using front people to conceal true ownership.
Investigators tracked a convoy of five vehicles that covered 2,000 kilometers in a single day, traveling from Huelva to the outskirts of Barcelona at speeds exceeding 200 km/h. The cargo, consisting of cocaine bricks branded with a luxury Swiss watchmaker's name, was unloaded at its destination.
The organization was characterized by its logistical structure, receiving, storing, and transporting cocaine for other criminal organizations, and relied on close family ties to ensure internal trust. A car dealership run by the organization provided jobs and high-end vehicles registered to front people, disguising ownership and allowing the cars to double as counter-surveillance for the convoys.
During the operation, 29 powerful cars, two firearms, and over €13,800 in cash were seized. Additionally, eight more vehicles, along with cryptoassets and real estate linked to the group, have been frozen or embargoed.
The investigation, which began in 2025 following international police intelligence, has led to the dismantling of at least five cocaine trafficking networks in the Costa del Sol area this summer alone.
