Chiclana Celebrates World Tourism Day with Free Activities

The city organizes an event schedule from September 23 to 26 themed 'Digital Agenda and Artificial Intelligence to Redesign Tourism'.

Chiclana will commemorate World Tourism Day from September 23 to 26 with a varied program of free activities, this year focused on 'Digital Agenda and Artificial Intelligence to Redesign Tourism'.

The Municipal Delegation of Sustainable Tourism has presented a diverse program to showcase the tourism quality and leisure activities of Chiclana. The schedule includes a recognition ceremony for individuals and entities prominent in tourism, guided tours, a commercial exhibition, and a festive event on Saturday, as well as a theatrical route to mark the 150th anniversary of the city's title.
Tourism delegate Manuela Pérez thanked companies and entities for their contribution to the Chiclana destination and encouraged citizens to participate in the activities, available on the tourism website, where registrations for limited-capacity events can also be made.

The Association of Three Kings will participate with a festive day on Saturday in the Plaza de las Bodegas, which will kick off the 'No Child Without a Toy' campaign. Its representative, Juan Jesús Sánchez, invited collaboration through the canteen they will set up.
Nueva Gadeira will offer a guided tour on Thursday at 11:00 AM and a Phoenician route on Saturday at 10:30 AM, including the surroundings of the Sancti Petri Castle Tower. They will also have a stand in the Plaza de las Bodegas. José Antonio Troitiño, representative of Nueva Gadeira, highlighted the importance of these cultural spaces in Tourism Week.
Miguel Alba, manager of Castillo de Sancti Petri, congratulated the business community for the summer and thanked the City Council and the Tourism delegate for giving visibility to the sector's companies.
The schedule of free activities begins on Wednesday, September 23, with guided tours of the Chiclana Salt Mines, Salina Santa Teresa, the Marín Doll Collection, and the Wine Cooperative. In the afternoon, there will be a guided tour along the Iro River and an open house at the Francisco Montes ‘Paquiro’ Bullfighting School and Peña.
Thursday, September 24, includes a trail through the Sancti Petri pine forest with a mindfulness workshop, guided tours of the Chiclana Salt Mines Environmental Resource Center, Nueva Gadeira Archaeological Space, a boat trip and visit to Castillo de Sancti Petri, and a salt spa at Salina Santa Teresa. In the afternoon, the Institutional Act for the delivery of recognitions will take place, followed by the Napoleonic Route through the city center.
Friday, September 25, activities include guided tours of the Chiclana Salt Mines Environmental Resource Center, the María Emilia Doll Collection, a salt spa at Salina Santa Teresa, a visit and tasting at Bodega Primitivo Collantes, and a visit to the Chiclana Museum. There will also be an introduction to golf at Campano and an open house at the Royal Center Hípica.
On Saturday, September 26, the city's Tourism Offer exhibition will take place in the Plaza de las Bodegas. Additionally, there will be a guided tour of significant sites related to the 150th anniversary of the city's title and the life of García Gutiérrez, the Phoenician Route through the Cerro del Castillo and the Iro River surroundings, and an ornithological route along the Iro River.
