The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has activated a yellow alert for rain and storms in the Campiña and Subbética regions of Córdoba, forecasting intense precipitation and a drop in temperatures starting at midnight on Wednesday, April 8.

The passage of an Atlantic low-pressure system is causing meteorological instability in the province of Córdoba, with light rains already recorded on Tuesday, April 7. However, weather conditions are expected to worsen in the coming hours, leading Aemet to issue a warning.
The yellow alert will be in effect from 00:00 to 09:00 on Wednesday, April 8. The most affected areas will be the Campiña and Subbética regions, excluding the city of Córdoba itself. During this period, accumulations of up to 15 liters per square meter per hour are expected in towns such as Puente Genil, Lucena, Montilla, and Priego de Córdoba.
Although the city of Córdoba is not included in the yellow alert, Aemet forecasts a 100% chance of rain for Wednesday in the city. Furthermore, a significant drop in temperatures is anticipated, with a minimum of 9 degrees Celsius and a maximum not exceeding 17 degrees Celsius.
