A total of 140 doctoral students have shared the progress of their scientific work at the XIV Scientific Congress for Doctoral Researchers at the University of Córdoba (UCO).

The event, organized by the UCO's Doctoral School, took place at the Faculty of Medicine and Nursing. Its main objective is to promote scientific advancements in a mutual learning environment and support doctoral candidates in transmitting the knowledge generated during their thesis development.
The conference, now a fixture at the institution, was inaugurated by the Vice-Rector for Postgraduate Studies, Cristina Aguilar, and the Director of the Doctoral School, Juan Antonio Moriana. The opening lecture was delivered by Antonio González, a technician from the institution's Scientific Information and Evaluation Unit. Representatives from the recently established Student Council also presented some of their short-term proposals.
The congress is organized into parallel working sessions, one for each knowledge branch, alternating between in-person and online presentations. Specifically, 20 works were presented in Humanities, 44 in Sciences, 19 in Health Sciences, 39 in Social and Legal Sciences, and 18 in Engineering and Architecture. Each participant had 10 minutes for an oral presentation related to their doctoral research.
A novelty for this edition is the establishment of an Organizing Committee and a Scientific Committee composed of young professors from the UCO. Their involvement in the event's design and implementation ensures that the day fulfills its educational purpose, benefiting both doctoral students and teaching staff.
This congress is held annually and is notable for its transversal nature, encouraging knowledge exchange and synergy creation across different disciplines. Doctoral students at the University of Córdoba can participate as many times as they wish during their training period.
